With reference to your letter of the 8th inst, transmitting the copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong enclosing an application from Mr Kinder for a small coining press suitable for 5 & 10 Cent-pieces, I beg to support the proposal, & also that the press be procured from Messrs Cail & Co. The existing presses being all calculated for heavy work, would be employed with an unnecessary consumption of power in coining small pieces. The articles furnished by Messrs Cail are also usually reliable in quality,
